Be the catalyst needed for nonprofits working with seniors to more effectively recruit, engage and retain quality volunteers. United Way’s Volunteer Manager Corps (VMC) program, developed in partnership with 501 Commons, is recruiting for volunteers and interns to work 10 hours/ week from February through May. The volunteers help the selected agencies develop more effective volunteer management systems and policies, while gaining their own nonprofit management experience.

The agencies include Kiero Northwest, which operates seven care facilities for older adults, and Sound Generations Community Dining program which offers hot lunches to those over age 60.

VMC members receive:

  • training and support
  • a boost to their resume
