Software Developers for the 5th Annual Teen Business Challenge Event

Sponsored by Connectwise and Citi, the Teen Business Challenge is an annual week-end event where teams of teens compete by creating a business plan based upon an app idea that they come up with.There are four rounds representing various phases of the project.Teams can win points in each round, and the team with the most points at the end, wins the tournament.

The four Challenges are:

· "The Big Idea" - Creative problem-solving

· "Biz Model" - Concept modeling

· "MVP" - Product Modeling

· "The Pitch" - Organizing ideas and communicating clearly

We are seeking 8 or more software developers to assist with the 3 rd Challenge, MVP" - Product Modeling.MVP stands for Most Viable Product.In this Challenge, the youth ask to create a working model of their app idea.In this first year that this portion of the Teen Business Challenge is being implemented, it is realized that a complete working model of the app idea may not be able to be created within the timeframe allocated, the software developers will join the team and assist the youth by assisting the team as its "Development Department".Rapid development tools will be used so that teams will be able to develop models.Software developer volunteers will be provided access to these development tools in the weeks prior the event.

The event will be held February 18th and 19th, at Hillsborough Community College, Ybor Campus.
