Job Description

Purpose: To advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of Extraordinary Gentlemen so as to support the organization’s mission and needs.

Mission or purpose statement:
The mission of "Extraordinary Juniorettes" is to educate, inspire, and enable young women to operate in the confidence of a young woman while embracing their ability to serve and empower their family, friends, and communities.

Position

Reporting to the Founders/Chief Executives, the Program Manager will be responsible for the operational success of Extraordinary Gentlemen ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation. In this newly established role, the Program Manager will manage the Extraordinary Gentlemen (Mentors). The Program Manager will be the key external face of Extraordinary Gentlemen in the community.

Responsibilities

Leadership:

  • Cultivate existing relationships with partners with the goal of ensuring sufficient space and resources, and access to services
  • Develop and implement strategies that will maximize the synergies among program areas

Team Management and Development:

  • Develop and implement a system to evaluate the skill, experience, and professional development needs of mentors, volunteers and staff
  • Work with mentors, volunteers, and staff to develop objective performance measurements across all sites, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting
  • Instill a sense of accountability among team members by modeling tight oversight of individual and organization performance standards
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and overseeing training and orientation of all program members

Program Operational Management:

  • Using the existing balanced score card and program dashboard; establish consistent, objective program performance standards of accountability

Qualifications

This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual with team management experience to grow and further develop a proven program. The successful candidate will lead programs, partner with the ED and work collaboratively with a high-performance management team. Specific requirements include:

  • High School Diploma. College Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Nonprofit, or Public Administration, or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience with in a team management role

Success developing and evaluating program models, and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs

  • Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool and experience working with information technology staff to develop and implement program evaluation systems
  • Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
  • Ability to work with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group
  • Ability in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility, span-of-control and performance
  • Demonstrated results in managing through complex systems and proven experience negotiating win-win agreements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Extraordinary Gentlemen Nonprofit's mission

The Extraordinary Gentlemen JR’s Academy

To educate, inspire, and enable young men to operate in the confidence of a gentleman while embracing their ability to serve and empower their family, friends, and communities.

The Extraordinary Gentlemen JR’s Academy seeks to develop leaders, promote lifetime brotherhood and spiritual development, while providing service and advocacy for our communities. The EGJA will focus on 7 principles: Truth/Honesty, Righteousness, Justice, Harmony/Order, Wisdom, Integrity, and Consciousness. The EGJA will host sessions led by the Extraordinary Gentlemen Leadership Team. Sessions will provide opportunities to learn and develop skill sets exhibited by competent leaders. Sessions will cover a variety of topics that are the underline principles for becoming a true gentleman and a leader within the community.
