Are you a drone expert? Can you make your drones dance? Can you program auto pilots via mind melds with the controllers?
ChesCo Search, our on the ground search team is looking for a person or perons to join our team and recurit/lead/build a team of drone experts to manage/build/pilot aerial drones and underwater drones to aid in the search for missing and lost persons.
You would be responsible to provide aerial images of search areas, provide recon, monitor high probability search areas/locations via drone. You need to be aware of, or willing to learn the parameters and legal requirements for safely flying drones in emergency situations, understand the use of NOTAM's and most important, how to keep eveyone happy.
You must be willing to respond on short notice, willing to work within the fire/police/rescue command structure, and be able and willing to work under potentially harsh conditions.
Previous fIre/rescue experience is not necessary but is welcomed.
This is a totally volunteer opportunity and more than likely will cost you $$$. Like most things worth doing right.
While we are happy to have members from ouside the area, we are really looking for Chester County (or nearby in neighboring counties), based pilots who can regulary attend trainings in Chester County. Ideally being able to be on-site at any Chester County location within 60-90 mins. tops with equipment.

Mission Statement
We are an organization focused on canine training with an emphasis on canine scenting capabilities and how those capabilities can be best used to assist humans. We will be a handler/canine training organization first and foremost. We will directly provide resources of a physical nature or monetary nature to support search, rescue, recovery, and medical missions without expectation of reimbursement or compensation with a specific focus upon canine resources. We indirectly support search, rescue, recovery and medical missions by supporting, via monetary resources, training assistance, collaboration or any means available, those organizations that undertake, facilitate, or provide resources for search and rescue missions.
Description
We provide resources to assist Fire/Police with land searches resulting from natural disasters such as flood, high winds, tornados. We also train to assist with buidling collapses and urban search. We train volunteers in land and water search techniques and work with them to help train K9 partners for use in searching for msising subjects such as alzheiemer patients, missing children, over due hunters/hikers. We primarily service Chester County, PA and the surrounding counties. We are available for mutal aid searches where additional resources are required for large-scale multi-agency searches. We do not search for criminals.
