Communications/Graphic Design Intern

Provide support to the Communications Division with design, development and production of communications and marketing materials for both internal and external use.

Assignments will include designing and producing creative, varied and well-executed designs and graphics based on direction from the Communications Director or other City staff. Graphics may be developed for multiple needs including print, social media and web use. Material created will include, but are not limited to booklets, program guides, logos, mailers, flyers, brochures, multi-page documents, invitations, presentations, FAQ sheets and other public outreach or marketing material.

Working with the Communications Division, intern will assist with all phases of design development, communication and coordination of ideas with staff, and work collaboratively with others to develop content and images. Intern will assist with the printing and production of all work, and is responsible for proper documentation and back up of all work.

Additional tasks may include assisting with organizing and promotion of city-wide events such as the 4th of July Festival, assisting with the City e-newsletter, updating the City website, and other administrative duties to support the Communications Division.
