Talk with senior homeowners and homeowners with disabilities to schedule volunteer groups coming to their homes to help with painting, yard work or clean up activities. Also work with volunteer group contacts, and with NeighborLink administrators to arrange these volunteer events. Most work can be done over the phone.
The volunteer event organizer will work with an experienced organizer until comfortable with the process.
Objective: organize 3 hour volunteer events that get necessary work done for the homeowner, provide a fun, productive volunteer experience for the volunteers, and run efficiently for all.
Time Commitment: as much or little as the volunteer wishes. One event per year is fine or a regular schedule of events would be great - we would be grateful for whatever you can do!
