This is an amazing opportunity to work with the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community, by providing a much needed service. This is a free event for residents of the reservation. Volunteers are needed to set up the event, from 6AM to 7AM. Then from 7AM to 9/10AM, volunteers are needed to take dogs and cats back to the crates. Lastly, volunteers are needed to tear down crates and help clean up from 2PM/3PM to when the last animal goes home. The last animal is usually discharged around 5PM, it all depends on how many come to this event and if there are any emergencies. This is a first-come/first-serve event, and we will only take a certain number of spays and neuters. We usually provide surgical services for 30 to 60 dogs and/or cats. It is not deep cleaning or intense set up. Set up is putting crates together and staging areas for intake with tables and chairs. Tear down is breaking down crates and cleaning them. then loading the Van and helping to clean the area. This is an amazing opportunity for animal lovers and people that like to be of service. Please let me know if you are interested. Thank you.

Mission Statement
To restore the sacredness of the Native American community by uniting people and animals. We do this by providing a variety of animal services, educational programs, behavioral health supports, and family resources that coincides with traditional values and core principles of First Nations communities.
Description
Our vision is to open a full-service facility in the SRPMIC that focuses on improving the lives of people and animals. This facility will be the epicenter for animal welfare and behavioral health in the community. We will provide a wide range of animal welfare services including: veterinary care, emergency medical treatment, shelter, adoption, animal-assisted children’s literacy, and behavioral training. The center will also support families, children and youth through a variety of behavioral health and educational programs. Additionally, we are exploring the launch of an Equine Therapy program where we can leverage the displaced horses in the SRPMIC to provide therapy services to the community.
