ChickTech Portland is looking for someone to plan our career events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning ChickTech Career events on the local level including developing event topics, reaching out to the local tech community for workshop leaders, and working on event logisitics and marketing
- Managing event budgets and helping acquire sponsorships and/or partner with companies and other non-profits to cover event costs.
- Copy writing of event descriptions as well as posting to meetup.
- Attendance at regular career team meetings

ChickTech is dedicated to retaining women and non-binary people in the technology workforce and increasing the number of people of marginalized genders pursuing technology-based careers.
Description
ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
