Visioning Committee - (Christian Women's Organization)
ORGANIZATION: Friends of MJHS
Please visit the new page to apply.
We are looking for five professional and service-minded women (ages 21-over) to serve on a Visioning Committee for a newly developing professional and social networking organization for Christian women.
The organization is being formed to advance equity and equality for women and girls, while also providing opportunities for mobilization and action around social justice issues.
The role of the Visioning Committee is to help the Founder develop standards for those will become members, and professional/social/philanthropic opportunities and activities that will become the cornerstones of the organization's functioning.
The group will meet once a month in person at a time that works best for the majority and will also participate in conference calls and email communications as needed. In-person meetings will occur in the Penn Station area of Manhattan. We will try to fit in a quick meeting before Christmas.
The preferred length of service is one year, but we understand that some will not be able to commit to the entire year as life happens. Members of the Visioning Committee can participate in any of the organization's inaugural activities for free, and should they decide that they want to become members of the organization once it is launched - membership dues for them will be waived for the first five years.
Interested candidates should email kingdomcityfellowship@gmail.com with a letter that tells us about themselves and includes any experiences they think would be valuable to the committee. Resumes are helpful but not required. We are unable to respond to candidates who do not respond as directed. Many thanks!
