Help Wanted:Dynamic Education Program Docents!

The Stamford Historical Society is looking for energetic individuals to staff its new education programs. If you enjoy working with children, want to share your enthusiasm for history, or are looking to broaden your own experience, becoming an Education Docent for the Stamford History Center is an excellent opportunity. Teaching experience is helpful, but not required.

Docents will bring one program into elementary school classrooms during February and host onsite programs at the Stamford History Center during May and June. All docents will be trained to lead our hands-on programs in a series of workshops. Programs take place between 9 am and 3 pm on weekdays. In-school programs will be run from 1 - 5 hours of paid work in a day. The onsite programs are generally 4-5 paid work hours/day.

The specific dayes and dates and hours will be confirmed with the participants.
