Share Our Strength's Cooking Matters, offered through Tarrant Area Food Bank, is a cooking-based nutrition course taught in the kitchen by culinary and nutrition professionals. This innovative program provides a long-term solution to hunger and poor nutrition by demonstrating the strategies to get the best nutrition possible on a limited budget. Courses are offered in both English and Spanish and consist of six consecutive weekly lessons, each 2 hours in length. One-time workshops, each 2 hours in length, are also available. Training is provided and required.
We are looking to fill a Course Manager, Course Assistant, Culinary Instructor & Nutrition Instructor position for each Cokking Matters course location.

Description
Tarrant Area Food Bank distributes food to more than 300 partner agencies in a thirteen county service region. In the past year, TAFB distributed over 30 million pounds of food to neighbors in need. TAFB also offers complementary programs such as nutrition education, food stamp outreach, mobile food distribution, food for children and community gardens for children and adults of our member agencies.
