The Overnight Shelter Volunteer (OSV) has the opportunity to interact with homeless men in our community and make a real difference in the lives of those in need. Arriving no later than 9 pm, OSV are responsible for spending the night in our shelter and providing support for the gentlemen who are our guests. OSV prepare a light meal in the evening and a hearty breakfast for the men in the morning.
As an Overnight Shelter Volunteer, you will have the chance to talk with our guests and help them with any issues that they might require assistance with. Mostly, though, the OSV is responsible for helping our guests feel safe and welcome in our shelter and for promoting a sense of community and acceptance in our community.
