The Grundy County Health Department is working on a community health project called the Healthy Families Project.
This project includes giving families the tools, resource and knowledge base to make healthy and affordable meals at home that their family with enjoy!
We hope to combat chronic diseases with this project including childhood obesity.
We need you to help our instructor two times a month with demonstrations and instruction.
You do not need to have any formal training or experience other than basic kitchen skills including pearing, peeling, proper handwashing, among other basic kitchen skills.
The monthly sessions will occur two times a month primarily in the evening from 5:30-8:30 throughout Grundy County, Illinois at local churches.
We need reliable people that will have reliable transportation to and from the class locations.
