Are you interested in working with families supporting programs that promote early literacy and a love of reading? Do you enjoy being around groups of energetic children? If you are, we have a great volunteer opportunity for you. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to help our librarians deliver exciting and enriching story times to babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers.
When: Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to Noon.
This volunteer opportunity will enable you to contribute to the success of several programs designed to promote reading and literacy in children. You'll directly engage with children and families, help oversee crafts and playtime, and participate in sing-a-longs.
This position requires a background screening through Live Scan (expense reimbursed), an ability to walk, stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time, ability to lift up to 15 pounds, move furniture, stack chairs and set up and take down tables.
