As one of the largest food banks in the country, SHFB provides food to a quarter of a million hungry people each month in man Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. Front Desk Administrative Volunteer Position:

Our San Mateo County Warehouse in San Carlos is currently looking for a cheerful volunteer to assist with customer service and administrative tasks. As we expand our services to members around San Mateo County we have seen an increased need at the front desk to assist with in person and over the phone customer service. As the Front Desk Administrative Volunteer would help in answering phones, accepting donations, receiving and distributing mail and data entry for direct service programs.

This volunteer opportunity might be for you if:

• You are passionate and persistent in finding answers for our community members.
• You have a high attention to detail and is the type of person who doesn’t easily get overwhelmed by paperwork or data entry.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a guest facing positon.
• Ability to interact with all types of people and provide excellent customer service.
• On top of it, with excellent communication skills.
• Dependable, we can rely on you for a 3 hour shift once a week.
