Every Monday afternoon Tikkun Farm hosts a small group of low-income, at-risk youth from our surrounding community. During the two-hour session a guest chef, along with farm staff & cooking assistants, teach the children how to prepare a healthy meal for their families. Through this program we teach the children the value of eating healthy, spending time on cooking healthy, and just how to do both.
We are currently seeking individuals who would like to act as a cooking assistant for our sessions. The duties would include:
+ Working closely with youth & assisting them in the prep of their meals during class
+ Being encouraging & supportive to youth, guest chef, & farm staff
Classes are from 3:30pm - 6:00pm on most Monday afternoons.
Our cooking assistants really enjoy working with the farm & our youth. We hope you might consider joining our farm family!
