Mission Statement:

Because when an ambitious few are empowered, they propel their entire community towards uplifting change.
CIELO is currently seeking individuals to help develop and maintain a research database used to assist clients and the community. The market research volunteer or intern will be responsible finding information related to entrepreneurial requirements, industry trends, and business best practices that can be compiled and stored in an online library for easy reference during one-on-one consulting. Research will be assisted by guidance and supervision of CIELO employees.
Internship: If you are attempting to fulfill an internship in a related major, this position could fulfill those obligations as well. (Please discuss this with CIELOs AmeriCorps VIP prior to interview)

List of duties to be expected (not all will be required for this position).
- Sending and forwarding emails and information to CIELO Staff
- Identify specific research needs based on current business focus and the needs of the organization
- Utilizing Microsoft Suite and data entry
- Participating in brainstorming and project meetings
- Collecting, analyzing and organizing ideas and information
- Communicating ideas and information
- Planning and organizing activities
- Working with others in a team

Entrepreneurs are put on a path of financial health by guiding them through cash-flow analysis, profit/loss projections, set up of accounting processes, and once financial steps are complete entrepreneurs become eligible for start-up funds, business grants and investments funds for their venture.
CIELO’s community of experts also includes financial wizards that strengthen existing entrepreneurs to be "investment worthy" so they can secure larger funding and investment to grow their venture.
At the epicenter is a partnership between CIELO and Golden West College dedicated to transforming dreams into reality, and generating economic impact for the individual and greater community.ideas into reality.
