Suncrest Hospice is looking for volunteers to join the Suncrest Team as we provide excellent care and support to our hospice patients and their families in their homes! We serve families in Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara Counties.
The philosophy of hospice care is to provide comfort and the highest quality of life that one can achieve at end of life. Through an interdisciplinary team: nurse, nurse assistant, social worker, chaplain and volunteers, we help the patient and family walk through their journey.
As an administrative volunteer, you will have the opportunity to assist hospice staff with filing, organizing, creating folders, and participating in special projects. You will also get to work very closely with our compassionate staff, creating bonds while gaining valuable hospice insight.
Volunteers are trained in their role with patients, we are required to conduct background checks and TB testing, at no charge to all volunteers. Schedule is very flexible! All Volunteers must be 18 and up.

Description
Suncrest hospice provides care to patients who are terminally ill within their own place of residence. Our clinical team is comprised of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains, certified nursing assistants, and volunteers. Volunteers can participate in everything from actual patient visits to administrative service in the office. Suncrest Hospice in the Bay Area currently serves Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, and Solano counties.
