Come work outdoors and help give back to the natural areas that we love! Wildlands Restoration Volunteers offers over 100 ecological restoration projects every year along the Front Range and throughout Colorado. Projects range from a half day commitment to overnight get-aways in gorgeous locations.

Our 2017 project season will kick off in early March, so sign up now to ensure a spot on some of our more popular projects, or call our office to learn more about what we do and how you can help.

Wildlands Restoration Volunteers also offers leadership trainings in the spring for anyone looking to get involved on a higher level or gain hands-on leadership skills.

For more information, feel free to call our Boulder office at 303-543-1411 and ask for Taylor (ext. 0#), or our Fort Collins office at 970-493-2075, and ask for Amy (ext. 1#).

This season, we are also looking for greeters for our projects. This role involves checking in volunteers, collecting waivers, being a friendly face for newcomers, and communicating information about the project day and WRV. This role is a shorter time commitment and is less physically intensive than other volunteer roles.

  • Encourage community-based involvement in projects by recruiting volunteers who live in communities near project sites and/or are members of user groups who frequent those sites.
  • Develop and implement high quality, scientific restoration techniques. We aim to contribute to scientific field of ecological restoration.
  • Collaborate closely with land managers and other stakeholders to identify key sites in need of ecological restoration.
  • Serve a diverse audience including urban and rural residents, adults, middle and high school students, disadvantaged youth, local watershed protection groups, local outdoor clubs, and other recreational users of local public lands.
