Help us centralize and maintain the Northern California Coastal Region’s inventory documentation for all disaster response materials stored in shelter trailers, warehouses, and fixed caches throughout the region.
The Regional Inventory Lead will personally maintain the counts in the primary warehouse in Alameda, submit requests to volunteers throughout the region to count materials in all other locations, and then consolidate all the information into one inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the inventory counts and documentation for the primary regional warehouse in Alameda.
- Develop the format used in Excel for the inventory documentation.
- Submit requests to volunteers throughout the region to count materials in their district or specific locations.
- Consolidate the information into one regional inventory report.
- Maintain all the regional and district documents in SharePoint.
- Act as the region’s subject matter expert for inventory.
- Participate in regional disaster response activities.
- Must have warehouse inventory experience
- Proficient with Excel, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to improve existing inventory management processes.
- Some driving will be required.
- Forklift operation experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and willingness to do manual work.
