This volunteer will be training to go into hospice patient’s home setting and work with dementia patients through dementia game and tasks to keep them feeling like they having something to do and feel valued for. All required training is covered by Alacare including basic Alacare training, drug screen, background check, 2 step TB skin test and Hep. B vaccine. This volunteer will be mentored by the volunteer and community relations coordinator until comfortable and confident to be independent.

Description
Enhabit - Home Health & Hospice seeks kind individuals to help ease burdens of families going through difficult times.
Enhabit is looking for patient facing volunteers to provide services to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do.
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
