On Tuesdays, December 13, we are looking for volunteers to assist with our Detroit Phone Bank on our Double Your Donation Days. We are need of volunteers to help from 6am-11pm to cover the phones. Volunteer answer the phones, they do not make solicitation calls. Shifts are 1 hour each and volunteers are welcomed to sign-up for more than 1 shift. We can use up to 12 volunteers per shift. The phone bank is located at the Detroit Distribution Center, 2131 Beaufait Street, Detroit, MI 48207. Food and beverage provided for volunteers. Please respond for available shift times!

Description
For more than 40 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities." Last year, Gleaners distributed 42 million pounds of emergency food to 499 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe counties.
Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 97 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor.
