Volunteers are the HEART of Heartland Hospice! We are looking for special individuals who live in Rochester and surrounding communities, to join our growing Vigil Volunteer Team -- a team of people who really want to make a difference in a patient's life!

This is a very special opportunity for special people who know that their presence, compassion and support are needed to help a patient's final hours of comfortable and peaceful passing. The role of our Heartland Vigil Volunteer is to join other volunteers with patients, in their last hours of living, who would otherwise be alone. Vigil Volunteers provide presence and support to the patient who is alone, or to family at the patient’s bedside who may need a rest from a long family vigil.

If you want to really make a difference that no one else can make, be that Vigil Volunteer who is needed for a few of the most important hours of a person's life. We will train you. We will support you. You will be a member of our amazing Volunteer Vigil Team.
