Women Sanctuary is a women-centered safe space created to form an empowered community by providing opportunities for women to actively engage with each other, participate in activities, and receive support.

We are currently seeking applications for open board positions to be voted on at our annual meeting July 12. We are accepting candidates for executive director, president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, and general directors. The term is one year. We are a working board and all board members are expected to volunteer at least 5 hours a month, including attending board meetings, sitting on at least one committee, and helping with the operations of Women Sanctuary. Board members must help solicit, fundraise, or contribute $1000 throughout their term.

Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to attend our next board meeting on June 12 at 9am at our office to meet the current board and see how board meetings are run. To apply for a position, email your name, position applying for, and a short bio that will be added to the ballot.

We are particularly looking for those with law backgrounds, fundraising experience, marketing/promotional experience, and those who come from a nonprofit background. You do not need to be a women to apply. Please contact jennie@womensanctuary.org with any questions or to apply.
