LAKE BALBOA CARE CENTER: OUR ACTIVITIES DEPARMENT IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS.

SOME OF THE AREAS WE NEED HELP IN ARE:

  1. PLANNING OR ASSISTING WITH BAKING/COOKING/CRAFT PROJECTS
  2. ASSISTING WHEELCHAIR BOUND RESIDENTS ON OUTINGS (MOVIES, ETC.). PUSHING THEIR WHEELCHAIRS TO AND FROM.
  3. BECOME A COMPANION.
  4. ROOM VISITS
  5. CALLING BINGO/PLAYING OTHER GAMES
  6. SERVERS FOR PARTIES/DINNERS
  7. DECORATING, SERVING AND CLEAN UP
  8. ONE - ON - ONE INTERACTION
  9. BOARD GAMES, WORD GAMES, MIND GAMES, TRIVIA,ETC.
  10. READING CURRENT EVENTS/PUBLIC SPEAKERS
  11. EXERCISE INSTRUCTORS, STRETCHING, ADAPTIVE EXERCISE, FITNESS GAMES, ETC.
  12. SINGERS/MUSIC THERAPISTS/INSTRUMENT PLAYERS/PIANISTS
  13. PET THERAPY/VISITS
  14. RELIGIOUS SERVICES/PRACTICES
  15. INSTRUCTORS
  16. MANICURISTS
  17. SENSORY STIMULATION
  18. ARTS AND CRAFTS
  19. CLERICAL WORK
  20. ORGANIZATION
