Why?
- Volunteering at CAPI connects you to your community and the refugee and immigrant communities of the Twin Cities!
- You will make a huge direct impact on every person you work with and will guide them towards financial empowerment.
- You will be able to do your own taxes in the future!
What?
- Work as a receptionist, intake interviewer, translator, tax preparer, or quality reviewer at CAPI's VITA site.
- Prepare and file taxes for refugees, immigrations, and people of color that qualify for VITA services.
- Work with families to provide financial services such as savings accounts and direct deposits.
- Become fully trained and tax certified.
- Volunteer 2 Tuesday nights per month, 5pm-8pm, from mid- January-May.
