Volunteers enhance the quality of life for patients and their families by visiting with them where ever the patient calls home. Home might be a private home, an Assisted Living community, or a Skilled Nursing Facility. Volunteers choose a location convenient for them.
Provide companionship, emotional support and practical assistance.
Listen to music, read a book, play a game, share a hobby or craft.
Help caregivers by running an errand, or sit with patients while caregivers take a break.
Visit patients who have no family involved in their care, some patients have no one and are very lonely!
Free Training Provided. Training is relevant for the service you provide as well as practical preparation for you to be a resource within your circle of influence.
