ORGANIZATION: Stormont Vail Health

Volunteers serve as the communication link between for families of patients having surgery. They strive to help keep family members apprised of news from the nurses throughout their loved ones procedure or from the surgeon. Families regularly express their appreciation of the volunteers who work in the Surgical Waiting Room, telling them that their presence provides a sense of stability and comfort during what can be a very lonely and anxious time.
