What is the Halle Heart Children’s Museum?
An extraordinary learning environment dedicated to educating and empowering all ages to choose healthy heart behaviors. The museum is the only one of its kind in the nation and drives the mission of the American Heart Association.

What Will Your Responsibilities be?
As an intern, you will learn how the Museum operates on a daily basis by assisting in a variety of levels, which may include the following:
- Assist with museum program development
- Assist with the scheduling of activities, programs and tours
- Train to lead student tours; direct chaperones in maintaining discipline and group control.
- Assist in educational components of the museum which may include exhibit design, curriculum development and exhibit upkeep.
- Perform administrative duties for the museum: visitor tracking reports, coordination of pre and post tests, meeting logistics, pre-curriculum packets; coordination of visitor information
- Assist and implement with the social media program, including the creation of original content
- Assist in the creation of outreach programs (such as cooking demonstrations; community festivals and programs, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
This internship requires the breadth and depth of education and experience needed to meet these objectives including:
Effective oral, written and presentation communication skills
Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building
Ability to work professionally in corporate and non-profit environments
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
