Santa & Me photos

Aloha, Project Hawai'i, Inc. is a publicly supported nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers. Our agency is gearing up to provide over 650 homeless children with a wonderful holiday. Santa needs your help to assure these precious children's wishes are fullfilled. While their wishes are basic, their need is great. Without the community, our program will not be able to meet their needs.

Imagine Christmas morning arriving with no hope of Santa's arrival, no holiday meal to enjoy and definately no gifts under a forgotten tree. These children live in extreme poverty, without basic life needs, let alone any hope of Christmas' arrival. Children who grow up in poverty rely on the basic FREE meal program at school. With that in mind our children face days without healthy meals or eatting at all. This 3 week holiday is extremely hard on the family and the children.

We bring them hope, for a brighter tomorrow, not just during the holiday but in life over all. These children deserve a wonderful day to keep the spirit of the holidays alive in their world.

You can be the difference, You can make a difference by volunteering just one of the opportuntiies listed below.

Description

Project Hawai'i, Inc., is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers to enhance the lives of children living in poverty situations on the islands of Hawai'i. Our public supported charity works year round to provide necessities to children living in substandard housing situations, such as tents on the waters edge, abandon vehicles, and make-shift structures hidden in the bushes and hills.

Our agency provides children with holiday parties, meals and services for all the major holidays including Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Other monthly services include providing emergency support, hygiene, food, clothing and outreach to the children living in homeless situations on 3 of the islands of Hawai'i, the Big Island (Hawai'i), Mau'i and O'ahu.

Project Hawai'i also provides educational and nutritional programs that include after school reading and tutoring programs and our summer camp activities. Children will also receive full back to school support from new backpacks filled with supplies, new outfits, and shoes. We also provide other educational needs throughout the year.

Project Hawai'i Summer Camp has ran for 15 years and won several dozen awards in nutrition and educational support. This program is our largest endevor and evolves year after to year to include even more learning opportunities to our keiki.
