We are looking for an energetic and culturally curious person to join our leadership team. The Social Media Director plays a vital role in Bridging Borders International’s marketing, branding, and fundraising. This volunteer will help to support our mission, market our projects and programs, and keep up to date with whats going on in the exchange student communities.
This position will help manage Bridging Borders International’s and our dba "The Conversation Cafe’s" social media and web-based marketing including the organization's Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts. In order to expand our outreach and online presence we encourage this volunteer to develop our social media as needed. The ideal candidate will have good writing and communication skills and will need to work closely with our executive team.
Write content for the organization's social media platforms at least twice a week
Retain, grow and develop accounts through interactions with supporters
Attend planning meetings (in person or virtually)
Follow cultural and travel news (post on relevant media topics)
Communicate weekly with the executive team through our google systems.
Must be available to attend planning meetings at least twice a month
Comfortable with social media platforms
Demonstrate good judgement and be culturally respective
Good writing and communication skills
Curious about different cultures, and traveling to different countries
Independent leader who can be trusted to work with little oversight
Term: Hold a seat on our board of directors for at least 1 year (minimum).
