The Tulsa Art Deco Museum seeks a volunteer to assist with exhibition planning and design. Duties will vary depending on the volunteers skills but can include: curating window exhibits in our museum space, building displays if needed, researching artifacts, writing educational materials to accompany the exhibit, and designing signs and posters.
This is an ideal position for anyone interested in exhibition management, museum studies, preparator work, curatorial work, or art history.
If accepted for this position you will have the opportunity to develop skills related to your career interests and develop your own exhibition with the assistance of the museum staff and other volunteers.
The hours are flexible and the time commitment could be anywhere from 3 to 7 hours per week. We would like at least a 2 month commitment, but this position can last longer if the volunteer wishes.
