Attorneys: Assist Low-income Tenants at Pre-Trial Settlement Conferences!

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Justice & Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco

The Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) trains volunteer attorneys to provide limited-scope representation to low-income tenants facing eviction. Through this project, attorneys represent individuals and families during their pre-trial settlement conferences only, not the whole eviction case. Volunteer shifts are available every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 12:15 pm to 4:30pm.

This pro bono work is an excellent opportunity to get valuable negotiation experience with a short time commitment. Attorneys must attend our free 2-hour CLE training before volunteering for this project. After attending the training, we ask volunteers to commit to 4 afternoon sessions within 6 months.
