Our hospice patients are located throughout 13 counties in Northeast Wisconsin-at home, at Assisted Living Facilities, Senior Care Centers, and Nursing Homes. You can visit with a patient near your home or work on a weekly or monthly schedule, depending on your available time. We are hopeful visits may begin soon at facilities. Currently our volunteers visit people in their own homes.
Visit ideas include:
Listening. (the most important gift we can provide!)
Reading or writing memories, wisdom, shared experiences.
Going for a walk with a patient or family member.
Sitting with a patient so caregivers can have some personal time.
Engage in art or music therapy.
Assisting with an activity in an extended care facility, ex. Bingo, a card game, a holiday party.
