NOW ACCEPTING APPLICANTS for FALL 2018 (our intern cohort is full for summer, 2018)
The Facilities Logistics Interns are critical to our success. This position is responsible for the coordination of incoming and outgoing materials in a warehouse that facilitates the movement of approximately 2 million items to over 40,000 recipients a year.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Logging and organizing warehouse contents
- Assessing current inventory levels to determine ability to meet future needs
- Coordinating collections with staff to meet anticipated needs of future recipients
- Assisting with volunteer coordination
- Cultivating volunteer relationships to maximize future engagement
- Identifying opportunities, and implementing automated process improvements and tracking systems
Qualifications and Experience:
- Dedication to service and non-profit work
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
- Ability to build relationships and work with volunteers and community members
- Ability to prioritize and execute complex tasks in a fast paced environment
- Ability to lift 20-30 pounds many times daily
- Willingness to work with volunteers of various ages and abilities
- Desire to share the vision of the Mitzvah Circle Foundation with the community and other groups
Interns work flexible schedules, with a minimum of 10-15 hours per week, between Mondays and Fridays, 8:30am to 1:30pm. This is an unpaid position but we can work with your school for academic credit.

We provide concrete help by working directly with recipients, or with referring organizations, to fulfill specific needs, especially when other assistance options are exhausted.
