The Facilities Logistics Interns are critical to our success. This position is responsible for the coordination of incoming and outgoing materials in a warehouse that facilitated the movement of approximately 2 million items to over 39,000 recipients in 2015.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Logging and organizing warehouse contents
  • Assessing current inventory levels to determine ability to meet future needs
  • Coordinating collections with staff to meet anticipated needs of future recipients
  • Assisting with volunteer coordination
  • Cultivating volunteer relationships to maximize future engagement
  • Identifying opportunities, and implementing automated process improvements and tracking systems

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Dedication to service and non-profit work
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
  • Ability to build relationships and work with volunteers and community members
  • Ability to prioritize and execute complex tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to lift 20-30 pounds many times daily
  • Willingness to work with volunteers of various ages and abilities
  • Desire to share the vision of the Mitzvah Circle Foundation with the community and other groups

Interns work flexible schedules, with a minimum of 10-15 hours per week, between Mondays and Fridays, 8:30am to 1:30pm.
