Resume Workshop

PRO-ACT in Bristol is looking for reliable volunteers to run weekly resume workshops at the Southern Bucks Recovery Community Center. Many individuals new to recovery have a rough time finding employment, and we would like to provide a workshop to educate them on the format and detail of resumes. If interested, feel free to call 215-788-3738 EXT. 110.

Mission Statement

The mission of PRO-ACT is to mobilize, educate and advocate for positive change so that stigma and discrimination for alcoholism and drug addiction end and to ensure hope, health and justice for those affected by this disease.

Description

The Pennsylvania Recovery Organization - Achieving Community Together (PRO-ACT) represents the interests of, those suffering from the disease of addiction, both recovering, and their families/significant others (referred to as the recovering community). PRO-ACT will:

¨ Reduce the stigma associated with substance abuse/addiction,

¨ Coordinate recovery activities among recovery organizations, individual and family support groups,

¨ Foster self-sufficiency and independence of recovery organizations,

¨ Foster the empowerment of the recovery community at the national, state, and local level,

¨ Cooperate with other recovery organizations in Pennsylvania and other states as appropriate to the accomplishment of the mission, and

¨ Provide a platform for national, state, and local advocacy.
