WomenVenture client Jaisa is the owner of Bride To Be, the largest bridal consignment shop in the Midwest!

Our clients...

...are launching or have launched a variety of small businesses! From wardrobe consulting, to a green laundromat, to marine engine mechanic, to doula services, to mittens made from old sweaters, to a chemical free nail salon and more!!

We need your expertise Graphic Design skills!!

A HUGE hurdle for many new entrepreneurs is branding their business offerings. We are seeking a volunteer to help WomenVenture clients develop a logo and style guide.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:­

  • Bachelors or associates degree in graphic design or related arts program or currently enrolled in college graphic design or arts courses.
  • Proficiency with graphic design software. We can provide the software and computer or you may use your own.
  • Strong organization, time management and customer service skills.
  • A small portfolio of past work.

Commitment:

Each volunteer is asked to work with to 2 clients, with a 1 to 3 month commitment, and the opportunity to continue your commitment to WomenVenture longer.

Our Vision: By 2020, 60% of clients who complete WomenVenture’s Pathways to Entrepreneurship program will be in business 5 years after launch and will pay themselves a living wage (120% of Area Median Income).
