Volunteer Sports Helper provides much-needed support and encouragement to Sports Directors, other volunteers, and youth participants where needed. The volunteer sports helper cares about youth’s development and physical health by supporting recreational time and activities.
* Provide assistance to Sports Coaches and Referees as needed
* Monitor all equipment inventory
* Work with site coordinators to set and clean up after classes/practices/games
* Rally youth participants before classes/practices/games
* Minimum age of 16
* Enthusiastic, motivated and dependable, with the ability to relate to children & adults
* Positive role model for program participants
* Adhere to the YMCA Youth Sports and Values program philosophy
* Volunteer application
* Face-to-face interview
* Criminal Background Check
* Reference Check
* Signed Code of Conduct
* Completion of online New Volunteer Orientation (NVO)
* Completion of online Concussion Training
