Holiday Festival Helpers
Festival Helpers pass out gift bags, serve refreshments, and more.

Santa Claus is coming to town and he needs help visiting with the families of the Iron Triangle. Volunteers will assist Santa with visits and gift bag distribution, monitor admission and provide directions, help maintain cleanliness and order of festival space, pass out programs, and put away decorations. Two shifts available: 3:30pm - 6pm & 6pm - 9pm.

Attire: Red shirt, jeans, comfy shoes. Santa hat or other festive attire/accessories welcome!

Spanish/English bilingual skills a big plus! Small groups are welcome.

Description

The Richmond Main Street Initiative, Inc., was founded in 2000 and incorporated in 2002 as a California nonprofit corporation. We seek to develop and implement a comprehensive revitalization program to realize fully the economic potential of Richmond, California's historic downtown district. Like many urban commercial districts thought the United States, the downtown area, once a thriving commercial district boasting a variety of retail, service and entertainment options, began to suffer economic reversal by the late 1960's as commercial and residential development shifted to suburbia, drawing much of the area's commercial activity with it. Richmond Main Street is working to restore downtown's former status as a thriving, pedestrian-friendly central business district with arts and entertainment, retail and services to reflect our diverse community.
