Thank you for clicking on our link. We are looking for compassionate hospice volunteers! Emmanuel Hospice is an interfaith, non-profit hospice located on the West side of Grand Rapids. We are a close knit team and our staff, volunteers, and patients are like family to us! We serve patients all over West Michigan in private homes and in facilities. We were created as a collaboration of 4 retirement communities: Saint Ann’s, Porter Hills, Clark, and Sunset.
We welcome volunteers with an array of talents and skills including students studying healthcare related fields, administration, social work, marketing, and religion. Volunteers are always needed to visit with patients and to help in the office doing administrative work. Tasks may include providing a friendly visit to patients nearing end-of-life, providing bereavement support to those who have recently lost a loved one, or helping with administrative tasks in the office. No experience needed- WE WILL TRAIN YOU! We are also looking for individuals with special skills: hairstylist/barber, pet handler, those with creative, artistic talents, and veterans (to visit with patients who are veterans). Volunteers are required to complete a background check, a TB test, and an orientation. Please contact Jackie at 616-719-0919, firstname.lastname@example.org. Volunteer applications are also on our website www.emmanuelhospice.org.
We look forward to discussing our volunteer opportunities with you. We cannot wait for you to be a part of our team!

The mission of Emmanuel Hospice, an interfaith partnership, is to provide exemplary spiritual and physical care creating a peaceful experience for the dying and their loved ones.
Why Choose Emmanuel Hospice?
Emmanuel Hospice is an interfaith collaboration of four local organizations with over 200 years of combined experience providing quality health care services in West Michigan.
St. Ann’s, Clark, Porter Hills and Sunset have joined together to deliver the highest level of holistic care to those who have reached the end of life.
The foundation of our partnership is rooted in common missions and values. This has enabled us, as like-minded organizations, to share resources, skills and expertise to better serve those in our community with a life-limiting illness or condition.
We are united in our aspiration to create a peaceful experience in any setting for the dying and their loved ones by providing exemplary spiritual and physical care. Our team is intensely focused on what is most important to each patient and family, and we encourage those we serve to celebrate life.
We begin every relationship by asking "How do you want to LIVE?", then strive to fulfill the individual wishes of our patients and their families.
