Volunteer alongside Veterans and make a difference with East Bay Agency for Children

On December 17th, Military Veterans and community members from the Oakland 1st Platoon will be working with East Bay Agency for Children!

East Bay Agency for Children is a non-profit organization that improves the well-being of children, youth, and families by reducing the impact of trauma and social inequities by delivering a comprehensive continuum of services focused on building resilience, aiding in recovery, and prevention of adverse experiences. EBAC hosts a variety of community based programs, including the Circle of Care: Grief and Illness Support Service.

Circle of Care is a unique program that supports children and their families coping with a life threatening illness or the death of a loved one. This program helps children heal and learn to cope with this traumatic experience through specialized Support Groups, Individual and Family Counseling, Crisis Support, Community Trainings and Outreach.

Oakland 1st Platoon will be helping to revitalize the Circle of Care program's facilities so we will have several tasks on this day for varying skill levels. Building, gardening, painting, and more!

Get ready to work hard, sweat, and laugh for a few hours with us while supporting a great cause!

SCHEDULE
8:30am - Registration/ Team Organization
9:00am - Work
11:30am - Breakdown/ Cleanup
12:00pm - Closing Remarks/ Lunch (on us!)
