We do dig deep, think hard, read a lot of history, ask a lot of questions, steer clear of establishment or consensus journalism, and write up what we find with verve. It's interesting, cool, meaningful work. As a Volunteer Manager, you'll be playing a crucial role in the growth and development of one of our key departments. Responsibilities -learn the fundamentals of one of our key departments (Development, Editing, Marketing, etc.) -draft, organize, and maintain projects and initiatives -record, analyze, and improve department performance -train assistants -communicate details of department to other department leaders -work alongside CEO and COO to strategize new growth and streamline operations for the organization Please thoroughly and carefully study our site, then tell us why you’d be a good fit. You should possess excellent communication skills, be organized, and have a passion and willingness to learn innovative management techniques in the nonprofit sector. Management experience a plus but not required. Please aware that this is an unpaid volunteer position. Requirements -3-5 years experience in a management role -Leadership skills - Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written English skills) - Desire to learn new management tools, techniques, and general skills - Organized self-starter
