Are you passionate about servicing your community? Do you really want to take the next steps in awareness and prevention when it comes to human trafficking in your community? TEP is now recruiting for Youth Group Facilitators!

The Exodus Project (TEP) is seeking part-time youth group facilitators to deliver workshops within local schools and organizations in the DC metropolitain area.

This is a VOLUNTEER position. Facilitators will recieve free lunch during all workshops and trainings.

Position Details:

Youth Group Facilitators will be reponsible for implementing and evaluating workshops pertaining to human trafficking awareness and prevention. TEP will provide a curriculm for facilitators to teach and training to ensure quality & consistency in delivery.

Each workshop will require 1 hour of instruction and 1 hour of preparation and evaluation. The workshps will occur at least once a week, usually during business or school hours. Some workshops may also be held in the evenings after 6pm or weekends.

Youth Group Facilitators will be required to attend training meetings, provide feedback to other facilitators, and Executive Director to aide with curriculum development.

Primary Responsibilities:

Ensure TEP's curriculum is delivered professionally and effectively to meet desired learning objectives.

Maintain classroom management within a class of approximately thirty (30) 8th, 9th, or 10th grade students.

Arrivie puntually to school or community sites and expertly manage time during course of workshops to ensure all aspects of curriculum are delivered.

Able to relate to audiences with different levels of aspirations, socio-cultural experiences, and support systems.

Implement evaluation of curriculm and contribute feedback to other facilitators and Executive Director


Experience Requirements:

Must have classroom instruction experience, preferably working with students from low-income communites

Must have completed or currently enrolled in post-secondary education

Must have a familiarity with the DC area, school, and students


Perferred Requirements:

Backgroud in developing, implementing, and evaluating youth development programs

Professionals with liscensure (i.e. LICSW, LPC, CAC, PMP)
