As a Communications Volunteer for the Indiana Parkinson Foundation, you will assist build and maintain our media strategies that will promote the Climb classes and highlight Indiana Parkinson news.
Daily Task:
- assist in developing a presence on social media outlets, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
- keeping media post current and news worthy
- maintaining monthly newsletter, to include client stories, and interviews, finding healthy recipes or exercise tips
- assist in promoting annual fundraising event through writing press releases and news articles as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- detailed-oriented and organized
- strong computer and internet skills
- knowledge about Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
- good written and verbal skills
- work days are flexible, based on class schedule: Monday-Friday
- being available to work multiple times a week is highly desirable
- volunteers are asked to be consistent and reliable
