ORGANIZATION: INDIANA PARKINSON FOUNDATION

As a Communications Volunteer for the Indiana Parkinson Foundation, you will assist build and maintain our media strategies that will promote the Climb classes and highlight Indiana Parkinson news.
Daily Task:

  • assist in developing a presence on social media outlets, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
  • keeping media post current and news worthy
  • maintaining monthly newsletter, to include client stories, and interviews, finding healthy recipes or exercise tips
  • assist in promoting annual fundraising event through writing press releases and news articles as needed.

Preferred Skills:
  • detailed-oriented and organized
  • strong computer and internet skills
  • knowledge about Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
  • good written and verbal skills
Time Commitment:
  • work days are flexible, based on class schedule: Monday-Friday
  • being available to work multiple times a week is highly desirable
  • volunteers are asked to be consistent and reliable
