Come to our informational meeting!!!
BAYADA Hospice has a special purpose- to help people with advanced illness have comfort, independence and dignity. We serve the patient and their family. There are many ways to volunteer: Read, hold a hand, listen to music, walks....some of our clients need help with meal preparation, shopping or errands. Sometimes hospice patients are still able to be out and about and would like to go to a sporting event, church or just sit by the lake. A friendly visitor is always appreciated!!
Veteran volunteers are needed. We proudly participate in the "We Honor Veterans" program.
BAYADA Hospice believes that families deserve hospice care delivered with compassion, excellence and reliability. No one is ever turned away because of an inability to pay.
If you would like to be part of a team that helps people live their best lives, and you have not suffered a significant loss in the last 12 months, come to our informational meeting on Tuesday Dec 6 at 7pm at our Essex Jct office 80 Pearl St Essex Jct. BAYADA Hospice of Burlington, VT is looking for compassionate, caring individuals to provide companionship and support to our patients and their families.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Making friendly visits
- Light meal preparation
- Giving emotional support
- Playing games
- Providing a hand to hold and a warm heart
- Office administration
- Routine errands
- Journal writing
- Reading to a patient
- Light housekeeping
