Two shift times: 9:00-12:00 or 12:00 - 3:00
Our Angel Tree program offers struggling families the opportunity to register their children for Christmas gifts and clothes. We distribute this information on Angel Tree tags out to the community. Donors purchase these gifts for the families and return them to us for distribution.
We need help with receiving, organizing and labeling gifts on the warehouse floor.
Physical requirements; must be able to lift 20lbs, move around easily, stand for long periods of time, work in a warehouse environment. Must be at least 18 years old. Volunteers should wear flat, closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing.

The Salvation Army of Sarasota County provides:
- Emergency Financial Assistance - a preemptive step to stop crisis before families and individuals become homeless.
- Pathway of Hope - helping families overcome barriers like unemployment, unstable housing and lack of education.
- Life Recovery Programs - provides individualized, life-saving services to adult men and women who are homeless, addicted to drugs or alcohol, or are incarcerated.
- Quality of Life - proactive housing-focused services, to include an emergency shelter for adults 18 and older.
- Community Centers - youth programs, community fellowship groups, senior programs, summer camps, group worship meetings, and afterschool programs.
- Food Pantries - in Venice and North Port
- A Thrift Store - in Venice
