BECOME A COLLEGE CHAMPION for low-income children, throughout the nation
VOLUNTEER with our college.youcan Live Stream and Video Project
In fun and unique ways, we want to connect low-income children with the college experience, inspire them to think about college and most importantly let them know that they too can attend college.
We need College Students or Alumnae to record short videos on your phone or You Tube videos discussing current and past college experiences relating to college challenges, bad days at college, good days at college, exam prep, fun times, overcoming college challenges, roommate challenges with a positive or comical theme (no mean spirited commentary), etc. You may record as many videos as you like or just one or two.
Links to the videos will be available to teachers, who teach in low-income communities, on our website and in other ways to share with their students.
For current college students it could be a daily or weekly video journal of sorts. The students will get to know you, if you record enough videos and will be excited about seeing updates from you.
As an Alumnae, you can tell how your college degree and your college experiences assist in your current career.
Make it fun, unique and as creative as you like or it can just simply be straight talk.

Description
Cherished Memories For A Lifetime (CML) provides gifts and unique experiences to financially distressed children and families, throughout the nation, aiming to enhance their quality of life. A 501(c)(3) exempt non-profit organization, CML'S central mission is to bring HOPE, INSPIRATION and JOY to homeless and needy children and families. Some examples of our efforts include: planning and funding birthday parties for children, arranging and funding a night out for mom and dad, orchestrating family fun activities, funding/hosting holiday gatherings, distributing school supplies, funding participation in extracurricular activities, temporary monetary gifts for daily household expenses and giving other thoughtfully composed inspirational gifts.
