ORGANIZATION: Women's Venture Fund

We are seeking a highly skilled part-time volunteer webmaster/web developer to manage our organization’s web presence, ensuring that the site is up to date at all times. You will also work with the Marketing Manager to introduce a membership model through the design and implementation of web-based applications such as registration, online membership directory and advertising. You should be highly knowledgeable in server management and online security, content management and have solid coding skills.

Webmaster Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor security and perform all necessary updates.
  • Monitor and report all web traffic.
  • Contribute to discussions on ways to improve functionality and usability, including SEO trends.
  • Redesign the website according to approved specs and timeline.
  • Manage backup servers and failover.

Webmaster Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5+ year’s experience as webmaster and/or website developer.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of all relevant coding languages (PHP, Javascript, HTML).
  • Thorough knowledge of WordPress.
  • Good graphic design skills to create pop-ups; and online and print brochures and fliers.
    Solid experience of Adobe suite, Photoshop and InDesign.

We are looking for a commitment of 10-12 hours per week for minimum of six months. This is mostly a remote position with occasional meetings onsite for project launches. Please send your resume, link to previous work and two professional references to: Jessie McNair at jessie.mcnair@wvf-ny.org.
