PPL's New Foundations (supportive housing for families exiting homelessness) child enrichment program provides supervised activities (art, literacy, active games) led by staff and volunteers (age 16+), for children 0-5 while parents work to achieve their own goals by attending workshops, parenting classes, or other meetings with PPL staff.
Experience with children (leading activities, childcare, church nursery volunteering, etc.) required. Experience working or volunteering with children who have experienced trauma or have special needs is preferred.
- Once/month opportunity - 2nd Monday of the month, 1-2pm. 6 month commitment preferred.
Application process includes phone interview, references, and background check. Accepted volunteers must attend orientation before beginning at program.
