Like to hold babies, play with toddlers, or do arts & crafts with kids?

New Foundations (a supportive housing program for families exiting homelessness) seeks experienced volunteers to work with children in the Children's Program.

The Children's Program provides supervised activities (art, literacy, active games), led by staff and volunteers (age 16+), for children 0-5 while parents attend workshops, parenting classes, job interviews, and other activities to help them meet self-sufficiency goals.

Experience with children (leading activities, childcare, church nursery volunteering, etc.) required. Experience working or volunteering with children who have experienced trauma or have special needs is preferred.

Shifts available:

  • Wednesdays, 9:45 am-12:15 pm
  • Fridays, 9:45 am-12:15 pm

Applicants who successfully complete the screening process (phone interview, references, background check) will attend training and then choose a shift. A minimum commitment of 3 months is requested; 6+ months is preferred.
