MUSIC IS THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE...
Heartland Hospice is looking for volunteers with musical talent! Everyone loves music, and whether you play an instrument or sing, your talents would be greatly appreciated by our end-of-life patients.
As a provider of care to terminally ill clients and their caregivers/families, Heartland Hospice addresses the physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of our clients and each person within their support system. Heartland provides care whever our patients call home. Whether at home or in a facility, Heartland's top priority is to provide the best quality of life to all our patients.
Volunteer Training is catered to fit your schedule. Requirements to volunteer include a Background Check and Tuberculosis screening, provided by Heartland at no charge. Heartland also requires 3 personal references.

Mission Statement
Hospice isn’t a place. It’s a philosophy of care. Our mission is called enriching life. Heartland Hospice is dedicated to providing patients with care wherever they consider home. Whether care is desired in the home a patient has lived in for years, a skilled nursing center or an assisted living facility, we tailor our caregiving to fit the patient’s and family’s unique needs.
Description
Heartland’s caregivers enrich our patients’ lives and provide support by developing individualized care plans, setting goals, encouraging personal choices, working together in caregiving decisions, and supporting meaningful experiences. Our caregivers help manage pain and symptoms, enabling patients to live life as fully and comfortably as possible. Volunteers are the heart of the hospice team! Volunteers offer support and companionship to patients and their families. Social workers and Spiritual Counselors create a comforting environment in which patients and families are able to share their thoughts, hopes, and concerns. We also have special bereavement programs that provide emotional support to patients and families who need help coping.
